Does slow and steady really win the race? Well, maybe in the story of “The Tortuous and the Hare” but not when it comes the 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S! Quick and precise takes the trophy here. Suddenly going out for “milk” never felt so good with curves like hers. It’s no wonder the Aventador S begs for a joyride everyday of the week and not just on Sundays!

Up 40 horses from it’s predecessor, the Aventador S sports a 6.5-liter 12 cylinder engine harnessing 740 horsepower under the rear glass. Although a bit boring, shifting through the 7 speed gearbox can be done automatically or spice things up with manual paddle shifters. With a push a button there are now four driving modes total. There is Strada, Sport, Corsa, and an all new “Ego” mode that allows the driver to have 24 programable options for steering, suspension, and power, giving a tailored driving experience based on driver preference.

Ripping along through twists and turns in the Aventador S just got a whole lot safer with a four wheel steering assist system making the Lambo more agility when cornering at high speeds. The rear wheels turning independently from the front creates a shorter wheelbase making her more nimble than cars with long wheelbases. For more stability in the straight aways, all wheels point forward giving it the longest Lamborghini wheelbase to date. Pirelli has wrapped the staggered 20 and 21 inch forged aluminum wheels with a special version of their P-Zero line of tires specifically for the Aventador S. The Italians upgraded the suspension with a double wishbone pushrod system which allows the car to adapt to the terrain giving a smoother ride. It has a top speed of 217 mph and accelerates from 0-60 in 2.4 seconds. Backed by four wheel ABS disc brakes, stopping power is equally important as a quick launch from a dead stop. The aerodynamics of the Aventador S are up by 50% with 130% more downforce and less drag.

In conclusion, the Aventador S is packed with a ton of innovative features making it one of the most intelligent Lamborghinis to date. With a hefty $494,195 price tag, Lamborghini has been doing rather well with sales of the Aventador S. In global sales, 33% of sales are in Miami, California, and Texas. Of that 33%, 25% of those sales stem from the Aventador S.
